Gasyard Bluebell Arts is a community arts organisation based in the Gasyard Centre and situated in the Brandywell in Derry. We provide a range of creative arts programmes, Workshops, events and exhibitions. Including: DJ skills, music and production, film, photography and editing, visual arts, crocheting, arts and crafts, wood carving for beginners, dance, drama and creative writing. We also curate various events and exhibitions as part of our empowering the Artist Programme.
These include: literary cabarets (Celine’s Salon), open mic nights (Speak Easy and Silver Tongued Deviance) poetry trails for culture night, craft fayres art and photography exihibitions. Our Gasyard Bluebell Arts YouTube channel has online versions of most of these and also includes video workshops on: creative writing, visual arts (painting tips and techniques), DJ skills/digital music production (tips and techniques), performance and drama (tips and exercises), film and editing (cameras), film and editing (phones), broadcasting/podcasting skills, photography and performance poetry skills. We are part funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Lottery Funds, Derry City & Strabane District Council and others.
