Skills North West is a collaborative partnership approach covering eight district electoral areas aimed at trying to reach participants most removed from the labour market, traditionally excluded and increasingly isolated, that are caught in a historic cycle of worklessness and poverty.
It will address personal barriers to employment, education and training, including social and economic circumstances affecting employment opportunities.
Skills North West Project is organised by Triax as part of the European Social Fund. It is aimed at people who are:
- Unemployed (including long-term unemployed).
- Economically inactive.
- Ex-offenders.
- Socially excluded.
- Lone parents.
- Experience traditional or cultural worklessness.
- Have low or no qualifications.
